The letter says she is required to appear in court on July 27.<\/p>\n<p>According to the California Highway Patrol, Cannon was driving a vehicle that was involved in a collision with another vehicle on westbound Interstate 580 east of Lakeshore Avenue on the night of Jan. 3.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=4091\">Jaxon Juarez\u2019s family files legal claim against Santa Clara County, state over toddler\u2019s foster care death<\/a><\/p>\n<p>She was injured and Brown, her passenger, was killed, the CHP said. Two occupants of the other vehicle were also injured.<\/p>\n<p>According to court records, CHP officers allegedly found marijuana in her vehicle and believed that she was \u201cdriving a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance,\u201d which resulted in Brown\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>It was not clear what the relationship was between Cannon and Brown.<\/p>\n<p>Cannon was placed under arrest at the hospital and later made bail.
