Per a team spokesperson, Ward\u2019s contract expired and was not renewed.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=3993\">Possible kidnap victim being sought by Oakland police<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was not immediately clear why Ward\u2019s contract was not renewed. The Sharks went 1-for-3 this past season on coach\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Ward\u2019s primary responsibilities were assisting coach Ryan Warsofsky and video coach Nick Gialdini in statistical analysis and operating the replay system for reviews and challenges during the game. Ward was also on Warsofsky\u2019s staff with the Chicago Wolves during the 2021-2022 season when they won the Calder Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Warsofsky is entering his third season as the Sharks\u2019 head coach after serving two years as an assistant.
