Sunset Development, principal owner and developer of Bishop Ranch, would retain two acres.<\/p>\n<p>The new residential development will be called Canopy and consist of 255 single-family homes near the corner of Executive Parkway and Bishop Drive, just east of Interstate 680.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuilding the best suburban downtown in America means getting the residential experience right,\u201d said Alex Mehran Jr., president of Sunset Development. \u201cCanopy advances that vision with 255 homes thoughtfully integrated into the broader Bishop Ranch neighborhood, which is steps from parks, trails and the amenities that define this community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three existing office buildings known as BR8 would be bulldozed for the development, executives said.<\/p>\n<p>Canopy will include a five-block linear park in its center, along with a community pool, clubhouse, children\u2019s play area, and dog-oriented sites.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=3910\">Trump says he didn\u2019t demand Balogun\u2019s World Cup red card reversal<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Bishop Ranch mixed-use district has evolved from its initial role as an office park to what now can be considered San Ramon\u2019s downtown.<\/p>\n<p>The 585-acre neighborhood contains 5 million square feet of office space, including 250,000 square feet of medical offices where John Muir Health has been expanding.
