The case was first reported by Courthouse News.<\/p>\n<p>After they reported the bat to the front desk, an employee caught it and released it, the complaint says.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=3896\">400 arrested, fireworks hurled at crowds, police in chaotic July 4th in Newport Beach<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Because the animal was not tested for rabies, 10 of the family members took public health employees\u2019 advice to be vaccinated as a precaution, which required four rounds of shots. The vaccinations \u201cwere painful, time-consuming, and caused uncomfortable side effects,\u201d the complaint says.<\/p>\n<p>The family contends that the Nugget was negligent for the employee\u2019s failure to follow correct protocol \u2014 and because the bat was in the room in the first place \u2014 and that they suffered damages of more than $15,000.
