TV schedule for July 3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The March 26 kidnapping occurred near International Boulevard and 14th Avenue, a part of Oakland known for having open air prostitution markets around the clock. But the victim claimed he was there during the early morning hours because he wanted something to eat, and that the two women were mysteriously able to somehow get inside his 2018 Mazda with personalized license plates, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p>One of the women pulled a knife with a six-inch blade, forced him to Zelle her $1,000, then forced him to drive them to a Grocery Outlet on Broadway, where he attempted to withdraw more money, according to police. Along the way, they stopped at a hotel in town, the victim claimed. At the end of the ordeal, the women drove off in his Mazda, leaving him barefoot in the grocery store parking lot, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Police identified one of the suspects from fingerprints lifted off of the Mazda, which was recovered at the Palms Hotel in Oakland. But when she was arrested, Kriston\u2019s story was markedly different from the alleged victim\u2019s account. She claimed that he hired her and her alleged cohort, identified by police only by the first name \u201cSara,\u201d and that Sara pulled a fast one on him by reducing the time limit to their agreed-upon \u201cdate\u201d and then demanding more money from him. She described what followed as basically a money dispute taken to an extreme end, claiming that Sara was the one who pulled the knife and forced the man to take them to an ATM, and that she \u2014 Kriston \u2014 wanted no part in that, authorities said in court filings.<\/p>\n<p>Kriston was released from jail at a June 26 court appearance, but ordered to stay at home except for court, attorney meetings, or doctors appointments, records show. She has pleaded not guilty and is next due for a hearing on July 17.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged victim initially told police he was too scared to pursue prosecution, fearing retaliation.
