The bench tipped, and the man put out a hand to steady himself, knocking a Hopi headpiece off a ledge. He and a woman thought to be his daughter left \u201cshortly afterward,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<p>The broken headpiece, painted in turquoise, orange and yellow, was created by noted Hopi artist Fred Kabotie. Photos of the room show headpieces on ledges flanking the fireplace about 6 feet off the floor.<\/p>\n<p>Kabotie also painted murals in the tower, which opened in 1932.<\/p>\n<p>The park\u2019s release asked witnesses or anybody else with information about the incident to contact Grand Canyon\u2019s law enforcement rangers. No photos of the man were included.
