But the championship series most valuable player indicated that visit is no slam dunk.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=3054\">Concord makes concessions to push motel-to-homeless housing project ahead<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just did receive an invitation from the White House, which we accepted,\u201d Dolan told WFAN New York last week after the Knicks won their first title in 53 years.<\/p>\n<p>Dolan called Trump a friend he\u2019s known for 30 years and was glad to host him for the third game of the Knicks five-game series against the San Antonio Spurs. It was the only game between the teams the Knicks lost. No other president has attended an NBA Finals games. Dolan said the details for a White House visit were still in the works.<\/p>\n<p>New York magazine reported that Knicks star Jalen Brunson hadn\u2019t discussed that game plan with his teammates prior to Dolan\u2019s announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=3052\">Country star celebrates her finest album in concert at Mountain Winery<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut as a team, we\u2019ll discuss it and we\u2019ll cross that bridge when we get to it,\u201d\u00a0Brunson said in an interview published Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>No NBA champion has visited the White House during either of Trump\u2019s presidencies.<\/p>\n<p>Brunson\u2019s backcourt teammate Josh Hart has been critical of Trump on social media.
