{"id":2923,"date":"2026-06-24T11:06:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T11:06:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=2923"},"modified":"2026-06-24T11:06:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T11:06:53","slug":"asia-live-culinary-emporium-quietly-opens-at-valley-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=2923","title":{"rendered":"Asia Live culinary emporium quietly opens at Valley Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<p>The highly anticipated Asia Live, a landmark food palace from the noted culinary team of George Chen and Cindy Wong-Chen, has finally \u2014 and quietly \u2014 opened its doors at Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=2922\">Tordillos: Downtown San Jose has everything except neighbors<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 15,000 square feet over two stories, the emporium will introduce diners to culinary highlights from throughout Asia, much like how its mall neighbor, Eataly, has steeped diners in the regional specialties of Italy.<\/p>\n<p>The couple made their mark in San Francisco with China Live, a food hall that opened in 2017. \u201cSilicon Valley gives us a new stage to share that story,\u201d chef Chen said Tuesday in his announcement of the official public opening. \u201cThe intention is to respectfully showcase Asia\u2019s hospitality and diverse culinary and design traditions, presenting them in a manner that resonates with contemporary international audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now operating \u2014 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily \u2014 are restaurants that feature open cooking stations. The outdoor Pergola Bar &amp; Cafe with alfresco seating for 50 will make its debut July 1, as will the ground-level cocktail bar in the sushi area.
