FREMONT \u2014 A Fremont hotel was purchased by an investment group from the Central Valley for a price far less than its prior value, documents filed on June 9 with the Alameda County Recorder\u2019s Office show.<\/p>\n

Hyatt Place Fremont\/Silicon Valley hotel at 3101 West Warren Ave. was bought by Fresno-based Blue Diamond Hospitality for just under $13.2 million, documents show.<\/p>\n

The price for the 151-room hotel works out to a price of just over $87,000 a room. In 2025, deals for Northern California hotels produced a median purchase price of $109,243 a room, Atlas Hospitality Group has reported.<\/p>\n

The Blue Diamond firm owns multiple hotels in California, including Hampton by Hilton at 5975 Travel Park Circle in Gilroy and Fairfield Inn and Suites at 220 Greenville Road in Livermore, according to the company\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

The principal executive of the buying group was listed as Karamjit Nijjar, who is based in Fresno. Blue Diamond Hospitality lists KS Trans Services and Renteria Trucking as two of its business units.<\/p>\n

The $13.2 million purchase price for the Fremont hotel was 34% below the lodging property\u2019s most recently reported assessed value of $20.1 million.<\/p>\n

The deal comes as numerous foreclosures have engulfed hotels in downtown San Jose, downtown Oakland, San Francisco, and elsewhere in the region.<\/p>\n

Bay Area hotels have suffered a hefty drop in their values, a downturn that has triggered a wave of failed property loans. The drop in values may entice investors to scoop up hotels at lower prices that offer control of a property in a good location.<\/p>\n
