He was last spotted at his British Columbia home on May 15.<\/p>\n<p>Police said in a Thursday press release that authorities had since \u201cuncovered evidence that led investigators to believe Mr. McLean was victim of homicide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A homicide division took over the investigation on Wednesday. They\u2019re working with a forensics team.<\/p>\n<p>The 45-year-old actor resides in the modest Village of Lions Bay roughly 50 miles north of the U.S. border.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=273\">Endorsement: Contra Costa community college bond measure well thought out<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) reported Thursday that dozens of investigators were seen searching train tracks and waters near McLean\u2019s house in the Brunswick Beach area.<\/p>\n<p>His neighbors Russ and Dorothy Meiklejohn couldn\u2019t imagine why anyone would bring harm to McLean in their small western Canadian community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs tiny as it is, he was a big part of it,\u201d Dorothy told the CBC.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In addition to \u201cVirgin River,\u201d McLean\u2019s long list of television appearances includes a 2025 appearance on \u201cMurder in a Small Town,\u201d a 2024 role in \u201cThe Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story\u201d and a bit part in a 2016 episode of the CW\u2019s \u201cArrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=271\">Opinion: San Francisco\u2019s luxury housing boom is a warning<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Canadian police suspect missing actor Stewart McLean may have been killed.
