BART trains will not run between the Warm Springs/South Fremont and Union City stops in the East Bay on Saturday as crews carry out scheduled maintenance.

Riders on the Orange Line on Saturday must transfer to a free bus service to travel between the stops, BART said in an alert. Delays of 30-40 minutes will be expected, it said.
BART warned riders of the closure last month. It said workers would replace an interlocking, “a critical portion of the system that allows trains to safely move from one route to another.”

The transit agency said riders should track real-time closures with its trip planner tool.
