After capping off a whirlwind week of basketball – and a bit of off-court drama – with a sweep of the Las Vegas Aces on Friday to reach the WNBA Finals, the second-year franchise announced that Doja Cat’s concert scheduled for Oct. 19 at Chase Center has been moved to Oct. 25.
Game 2 of the WNBA Finals is scheduled for Oct. 19.
Golden State moved the concert, following what the organization called a “standard practice” of contingency planning for potential playoff games.
The Valkyries clinched their spot in the Finals with an 87-77 overtime win. Minutes after the final buzzer, Golden State confirmed the concert’s move to Oct. 25.
“All tickets remain valid for the new date,” senior manager of venue communications Maria Bell wrote in a release. “More information will be emailed to ticket holders directly when available.”

The new date takes advantage of a window created by the Valkyries going on the road to face the Atlanta Dream in Games 3 and 4 of the best-of-seven series.
Game 4 will be played on Oct. 24, and Game 5, if the series is not a sweep, is scheduled for Oct. 26 in San Francisco.
A Valkyries team spokesperson previously told the Bay Area News Group that Chase Center is capable of turning over from a concert to a game on consecutive days.
